Lately google made some changes to their ranking algorithm,   the reason cited is that google wanted to provide more relevant results, according to their official blog, this change impacts 11.8% organic search results, put it this way, there are about 12% of google search results are considered low quality by google itself. Google started this change almost one year ago, no wonder I saw a few of my keywords’ ranks dropped like a rock, the good thing is that those keywords promoted by content rich links are not affected, and a few of them even gained a few positions, it becomes clear that link building the old way is the thing of past, probably due to link spamming sites being thrown away by google.

Now what on earth is plain link building and how do people do it? a large percentage of SEO firms will do this,  they put your links on websites which only exist for holding links, the only updates on those websites are the new links, and most of them are useless, the name link spamming are just for these sites. The latest google update will definitely downgrade most if not all of these sites, any links on them will be affected too. 

Examples will be great for explanation. In the very beginning, I didn’t know better, I needed to rank the keyword, Tow Chains, it was old way of link building all the way, almost all the sites I got link from had too many links, and the worst thing is that those sites are linking sites only and had no content, not even crap content. I would give credit where credit is due, this linking strategy worked, finally the rank improved a lot, the party was over when google updated it’s algorithm. Something opposite happened to this keyword, chain pullers, most back links for this keyword are from articles and posts, with very few plain links, the rank for this keyword is making me real happy. So contextual link wins this time, what about future? It all boils down to content, so if you create great content, not only people will love to read your stuff, so do the search engines. It’s never too late to build good blogs for business purpose, take a look at this blog, best baby strollers , I didn’t put too much effort into it from start, but I never stopped posting, the result? I got nice ranking for a few realy nice keywords now. As we can see, creating quality content and blog marketing is what we have to do to get great result. At the end of day all you have to do is to create quality content, get people to enjoy and share your stuff, promote your business with the content, your effort will reward you handsomely in the end. I just wrote it, so it hasn’t been edited yet, but I want to know what you think. I don’t think I handle action very well, but I’ve read around on some writing websites, and I don’t seem to be doing anything wrong…any advice? Thanks.

***Note: What is going on is something like this: the narrator just found out that she has a life-threatening, very-serious virus and the Trackers are going to quarantine and kill her for it. She is very fearful of death because ever since she was little she had the dream of the little girl. She especially didn’t want to die young or at the hand of the Trackers, so she attempts to escape.***

Kill her. The horrible words buzzed through my mind. If I had a fear, it wasn’t the dark or a drunk, not even a stab through the heart. It was none other than death.
The closer they carried me to the end of the station, the harder it was for me to breathe. “Please, don’t kill me.“ I whimpered, every ounce of energy and determination draining from my body. We nearly made it to the end of the station when The Trackers stopped and unexpectedly dropped me, giving me less time than I needed to break my fall. I slammed into the ground and groaned in pain.
The Trackers loomed over me, talking to someone beside them. It was another Tracker, but this one was like none I’d ever seen before. This Tracker wore a blood red suit with even broader shoulders than that of the Trackers I knew. As if he didn’t look threatening enough, enormous weapons strapped to his back poked out in every direction like a porcupine‘s quills.
Kill her. I shook violently, remembering a dream that I always had when I was little. So often that it was what brought me to fear death. A beautiful little girl laying on a table. Her ringlets cascaded over the sides, and she wore a bow in her hair. Her eyes were dead, but her cheeks were still rosy. The girl had just died, but I knew she didn’t deserve to. She was only a few years old, and had the rest of her life in front of her. She didn’t deserve it.
The moment the camouflaged Trackers retreated, I rolled to my knees and pulled myself to my feet with my hands still cuffed. I ran as fast as I could, cutting through lines of confused people. Some stared at me with blank expressions, and some tried to grab me. None of the Trackers around seemed to notice me. I had a chance, and they didn’t. Were they angry, or glad to see that someone might make it out? I wasn’t sure.
“I don’t deserve to die!” I screamed at the top of my lungs. But I knew at some point, if I really did have the Thirds virus, I would. But it was better than being killed by the Trackers, who killed so much it was almost a joke.
I didn’t look back. I heard the red-armored Tracker’s metal feet clanking noisily on the cement, and his voice rang out for the guards to raise the shields. “We have a breach!” But he couldn’t be heard over the noise radiating from the townspeople. Although he looked more deadly, he was ultimately slower. My feet slapped down hard on the cement, making it increasingly harder to run. I waiting for him to draw one of his many weapons and shoot me before I had the chance to escape, but I never felt a bullet in my back.
“Oh no,” I said to myself as I came, at last, to the end of the station. The shields were still raising and lowering as units came in and out. Beside me, a unit rolled into motion, its cargo door just sliding shut. I picked up my speed as the unit took off, and we raced side-by-side for the exit.
I dodged between the last row of people standing between me and the outside world. The shield lifted quickly and the unit zoomed out. Before I knew what I was doing, I leapt into the tracks and dove headfirst under the shield. I felt a blast of heat as it met the ground, and realized that I’d done the impossible.

so I’m writing a book and it’s based around a gang, and they need, you know, weird nicknames. And please don’t say anything stupid about my idea. :v
anyway. so I need five names….to fit these kind of personality/looks thingamajigs

charrie one- male, age 14, blond hair, black eyes, tallish. He’s kind of crude and talkative. Wears all black with a neon blue bandana, carries around a small knife that he’s extremely good with. and also, he’s kind of "the leader" so he has some good traits to make wise decisions.

Charrie two- female, 15, brown hair, brown eyes, short but very agile. she’s, i guess you could say, "motherly". But she’s also sharp and knows how to survive. She wears regular jeans with a black hoodie and also a neon blue bandana. She carries around a big black gun type thing usually strapped to her back. Has good eyesight, very kind. and is a master at cooking !

charrie three-male, 14, dusty brown hair, green eyes, very gaunt. He’s always serious, doesn’t smile, but he’s very kind too. Sometimes too hard on self. He’s the one who usually stops fights. The "peacemaker’. i suppose. He wears black jeans, a camouflage jacket, is able to run extremely fast. Neon blue bandana too.

charrie four- male, 13, black hair, brown eyes, same height as the first charrie. He carries around a pistol in a navy blue jacket. has is ear pierced. he’s kind of like the joker. Is able to lighten the mood, but he also starts lots of fights and can be sort of mean sometimes. Neon blue bandana, combat boots, extremely good with card tricks….

charrie five- male, age 15, blond hair brown eyes. He’s kind of depressed. But he is also very strong willed. he understands lots of people and listens. he knows karate . is quick and agile, but also partially blind. Is charrie two’s actual brother. Carries around FORKS AND KNIVES. Can whistle really well and play many musical instruments. But he’s not too soft and can be very demanding at times. wears the good old neon blue bandana, converse, black jeans, always green shirts (idk?)

Now google algorithm probably will weed out these sites, all the links on those websites will have the same fate.  

Let’s check out a few examples. Now you can see, article marketing with great content is the way to go. Say you’re building your own bogging network, such as Car Dolly, then it will be easier to do article marketing.

Remember content is king, you just need to create content, share the content with people, in the mean time advertise your business with your content, this strategy will prevail in short or long term. I plan on buying a fishing kayak this summer but will have to use my saturn to haul it. I dont plan on going on really far trips or windy areas. Just to the local lakes and rivers. My 97 saturn sc2 has no existing bars and I no that a bar system is around 250 dollars. Then for a kayak rack its even more. Would just buying a foam block system for around forty bucks to set on top of the roof and Ratchet Strap it down work? Anyone have any experience with these or tell me the best way to go. Money is a concern. Thank you so much.

I’ve used foam blocks in the past BUT that was with touring kayaks and on a station wagon. Problem with fishing kayaks is that they are very heavy beasts. You could use the foam blocks but you HAVE to run straps through them that will secure them to the car — in other words, open the car doors and run a strap through the hole in the foam block then across the car ceiling and back out and tighten it down. Then also use straps the same way on the kayak, down and around through the car itself. I would recommend 1 1/2" buckle straps rather than ratchets. You can damage the kayak, especially on a hot day, by tightening ratchets too much. Actually, you can use those round or hexagonal foam "pool noodles" they sell for kids to use swimming to make a padded surface on the roof to attach the boat also — they are hollow so you can run a rope or strap through to secure them to the car.

And just the straps are not enough. You MUST attach bow and stern lines to the bumper of the car front and rear. In fact, with a fishing kayak due to their width and weight, it would be wise to have TWO line front and rear, a total of 4. You can buy sets of nice lines with a ratcheting cam to tighten them (it is OK to ratchet the bow and stern lines.)

Even a short trip can end in tragedy if the boat flies off your car. I have seen it happen and it is not pretty.

Also, you will quickly find that loading and hauling a kayak this way is very tedious (I know, I did it for years).

I would suggest you look up on the Thule site what the proper Thule roof rack component models are for your Saturn and then look on Ebay to buy a used set. People are always selling them because they got a new car. I got the Thule towers and bars for my car for under $60. Also, the REI stores often have 20% coupons they send in their sale flyers for anything in the store. I got my kayak J-racks that way.

Just the basic bases and bars will make loading your kayak much easier. The cheap foam carriers slip right over Thule square bars and will stay in place as you slide it up.

You still have to use front and rear guylines, no matter how fancy the rack is on your vehicle, though. The wind effects on a boat on a car are powerful even at moderate speeds.

Truly, make the investment in a rack — it will improve your enjoyment of your kayak immensely.

As we can see, quality article marketing is much better than plain link building.
